That's right everyone... I wore a t-shirt and a hoodie and get this... I was warm! And I wasn't even out just long enough to walk from the car to a store either... I stayed out there for at least a couple of hours...woohoo!! I must admit that this warmer weather definitely has a positive effect on my mood. If it would stay like this I would even smile more than once a week lol..
I'm sure that most of you now know that Robert was in Costa Rica for the month of December. I do have a few of his pictures to post here... two to be exact. I guess that when you take a month off of work you have a bit of catch up to do and that is why I have yet to receive many more... I'm going to go with that anyway
So, what has been going on this past month...well, we have been shooting the Future Stars soccer kids and Rob has been busy shooting the University of Regina sports teams now that they are back from their Christmas hiatus. Rob and I have also been extremely busy with photo workshops as well as getting everything organized for our first photo Fieldtrip of 2009.
I am going to save you all from hearing me continue to ramble and just get right to the photos.

Rob shot this with his Canon G10, F 3.5, 1/320th sec.

Another one of Rob's Costa Rican G10 shots... shot at F 6.3, Shutter Speed - 1.0 sec
*This is where I am going to add my little comment about the fact that Robert went all the way to Costa Rica... WITHOUT AN SLR!!!*

Rob and I were fortunate enough to be able to go out and shoot at an airplane hangar thanks to our friend Norm. We had a great time... thanks again Norm!

Monkey see, monkey do???

I've always wanted to be a wing walker... in this case I was on the wing but more like lying down

Rob's version of pretending to be run over by the plane... personally I think that he should stick to photography as his acting is definitely lacking.

Now there's concentration... take note everyone that he is usng a tripod and a cable release!

Yes, I was on one heck of a high ladder for this shot. I shot this at 10mm, F 3.5, Shutter Speed 1/160th sec and ISO 400

F 16, Shutter Speed 1/20th sec, Focal Length 77mm, ISO - 400
I headed out towards Moose Jaw for a few days a week or so ago and shot pictures with my buddy Jim. He is what you would consider a wildlife expert... kind of like myself but...well, completely different. I did actually manage to get out of bed not just one but two days while I was on vacation to drive an hour BEFORE sunrise. For those of you who are wondering, yes, this is a huge accomplishment for me

F 8.0, Shutter Speed 1/400th sec, Focal Length - 179mm shot at ISO 100

F 4.5, Shutter Speed - 1/200th sec, Focal Length - 200mm, ISO - 100
Jim and I (more Jim actually) found this little guy along our travels. I am now considerably more educated in the ways of the porcupine than I was on my last outing so I now knew two critical things.. 1) porcupines cannot shoot their quills and.. b) porcupines cannot leap from trees or run at a person. Having this valuable information in my arsenal makes it much much easier to get this shot.

Jim shooting the elusive Saskatchewan rock in the stream.

Jim took this pic of me shooting...well, water I think. I know what you are thinking...yep...check out the hot camo white coveralls

This shot was strickly set up by me. Unfortunately poor Jim didn't know he was being set up when he told me that he couldn't really see how deep the snow was and asked me whether or not we could make it through. How did I know that Safari's can't exactly make it through 4 ft snow drifts??? I thought that they went through anything. I did however feel more than just a little bit guilty as Jim shovelled and pushed
Due to the fact that we have been suffering through horrific temperatures around here as of late...well, and as of early actually Rob and I decided to spend an afternoon shooting at the Regina Floral Conservatory. This was definitely a nice escape from the cold. I know Rob also has some stunning photos that he will be sending me from here as soon as he gets some time and I will post them for you as soon as I get them.

F 2.8, Shutter Speed - 1/80th sec, Focal Length - 100mm, ISO 400.

A shot that Rob took while at the conservatory.
Well, now I am just going to post one of the images that I have been working on of late. Rob and I have both been busy revamping our portfolios and image galleries on our website so if you have a few moments then please check it out.

Well everyone, that's it for this week. Please try to get out there shooting as the weather has finally made it a possibility. I am now off to watch the last 2 minutes of the Eagles game... this is tense.
