Bring On Summer!!

Bring On Summer!!

by dhill 4/13/2008 5:05:00 PM

Hello once again everyone,

Well... here it is mid April and it is a balmy 20 degrees outside...yipee!!!  I am officially declaring today the end of winter...what makes me believe that you ask??  Well, I actually washed my car and gave myself a pedicure today which obviously means that I am not expecting anymore snow as I will be wearing open-toed shoes from now on:)

We had a relatively busy week last week which began at about 5:14 A.M on Sunday (yes... SUNDAY) when my alarm clock went off in order for me to be ready on time to have Rob pick me up so that we could head to Saskatoon to attend a lighting seminar put on by Jean Francois O'Kane.  It ended up being a very good thing that we left so early as the highway gradually deteriorated the closer that we got to Saskatoon until it became as Rob put it "like driving on a sheet of glass"...not very much fun :(  Needless to say that by the time that we headed back it was considerably better.  We were very glad that we went as we both learned quite a bit and are anxious to try some of it out in the studio soon.

Monday evening brought along our second photo workshop this time on the Canon DSLR's... once again the class went very well and it looks like we will be busy teaching for quite some time as the classes are filling up almost as quickly as we book new dates :)

We actually didn't head out to shoot last Wednesday as we normally do due to the fact that we both had a bunch of catching up to do.  Good thing as if we hadn't taken that day off I would probably have spent a big chunk of the day today going shopping as I would have had no clean clothes left lol... We are planning on heading out this Wednesday and all that we have determined at this point is that we are going to head SouthWest.  I don't even want to guess at the time that I will have to be up that morning...all that I know is that we want to be somewhere by sunrise and... sunrise the last I checked is no longer at 8:00 in the morning...sheesh.

Well... that's it for now... I will be posting something considerably more stimulating later this week with pictures from our "Southwest" excursion...

Till then... enjoy the warm weather!!

Devona

Gil aka Fuji

Well... Here I am getting the shutter finger all itchy to capture some images that aren't as white or brown from winter. Can't wait for the new renewal of life - known affectionately as SPRING.

Hrmm that was weird, my comment got eaten. Anyway I wanted to say that it's nice to know that someone else also mentioned this as I had trouble finding the same info elsewhere. This was the first place that told me the answer. Thanks.
