Hello again everyone. Well, Rob and I have once again had a fairly busy week. We held our first photo workshop on Monday night and not only did we have a great time doing it but everyone in the class really enjoyed it as well. Our next workshop is being held this coming Monday to a sold out crowd.
Rob judged the Sask Amateur photo competition on Sunday and had a fantastic time doing it. From what I was told the caliber of prints was extremely high this year and I am quite dissapointed that I won't have a chance to go down and look at them :( Rob also spoke at the Regina Photo Club meeting last night on the topic of sports photography and did a fantastic job...I know what you're all thinking... I just gave Rob a compliment when most of you (along with Rob) think that it is my sole purpose in life to make fun of him... oh well, I will get back to that shortly lol...
Today we headed out to the valley to scope out some locations for our upcoming photography field trips which takes me back to a topic that I rambled on about a while back. Cold vs windy and which would you rather shoot in. It was extremely windy today which tends to make me rather cold and miserable. Whatever happened to warm and sunny that's what I would like to know. For once I would just love it if it could possibly be calm...I would even settle for 2 degrees just please someone make the bloody wind go away!!
Anyway...enough of my complaining about the weather. I live in Saskatchewan so I know I have to get used to it...eventually. Here are some pictures from our outing today feel free to enjoy at your leisure :)

A church that we came across down in the valley... my shot above and Rob's below. Quite a scenic place and I am looking forward to going back in the spring when there is some more color.

Apparently this was the day for us to come across "little barns". Rob took this shot of a mailbox along the way.

I then shot this. Rob wanted to look like the "friendly giant"... at least he got the giant part right anyway lmao :)

I had to take a shot of this just because it made me laugh. I completely understand the no hunting, fires etc. I guess that the other one is no gardening which was really too bad as I happened to have brought along a blue spruce that I was just dying to plant along the way somewhere. The one that really got me though was the one on the bottom right that says that you aren't allowed to hand-glide in this location...no hand-gliding???? I had to tell Rob to pack it up and leave it in the trunk...yep, still laughing!

Many of you will start to recognize this pose as it seems to be one that Rob automatically morphs into as soon as the camera is pointed in his direction and on that note...

I think I nailed it!!

I know that you all read the blog last week where I had to point out the whole "Rob got new tires and wheels" story but this is starting to get a bit out of hand. As you can see here Rob is taking a picture of his beloved car. If you look closely enough I believe you can actually see testosterone coming out of the exhaust pipe :)

For those of you who are holding your breath in anticipation... wait no longer as here is the picture that Rob took. What the heck, is that dust on the rear bumper?? I can't believe that he would render it driveable in that condition!

One of the last shots that I took of the day...
Well everyone it is now getting late and I am absolutely exhausted. It is amazing how a little bit of fresh air tends to knock a person out! That's it for this weeks edition. Until next week...

Okay... so apparently I lied and decided to throw up a few more pictures of Rob and I shooting... now I'm done :)
