Can we please (ESPN included) refrain from calling the new car the COT or Car of Tomorrow. That made perfect sense two years ago but no longer. This is one more example of how NASCAR just does not get it. The continuation of statements like this is like leaving DeeDubya (DW or Darryl Waltrip) continue to spew the "cute for six year olds" race babble Boogity, Boogity Boogity he does at the start of the race for the first half of the season. Come on people. After Dale Sr. passed we had three years of a 3rd lap of silence and that was good... then we moved on. Don't get me wrong Darryl, the first time you did the "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity" thing I thought it was mildly entertaining. The second time I thought it was a joke an the third time we had to mute you. This has been a part of the race for us for so long now I can't honestly say I know if you are still doing it... I guess today I'll lend an ear and if you do it again I will laugh, and then likely become somewhat angered. Can someone please tell NASCAR that there are certain things that go a long way to drive intelligent people away from your sport. All this and one other reason for your numbers going down and that is too damn many races. If people can't stay attached to your series, they will quit watching. No matter how much I love a sport, I can't spend every stinkin weekend attached to my T.V. - And now, because I am to keep this photographic I'll add the following not quite related photo.
